Rated PG-13 :: The town of Stratford is your common New England suburb. It’s an average populated town with..not a heck of a lot to do. The town itself is split by US-1 (otherwise known as Barnum Avenue). About a mile north of Barnum is the nice little town center called Paradise Green. Here there are various small shops including a Claugh’s Hardware, Vic’s Variety and Brooks Pharmacy. There are also a few places where people can get a bite to eat, like Paradise Pizza and Baskin Robbins. Paradise Green has long been a hang out spot for all ages of kids north of Barnum due to it’s central location and the fact that most of the people who work there know all of the moms in case something bad happens. This became even more true the summer of 1984 when across from Brooks Pharmacy a new Arcade called Grimm’s Den of Games. When it opened, it featured some of the latest and greatest in Arcade games including Punch-Out!, Marble Madness and Starfighter. The Green saw an instant boost in business as kid from all over flocked to play games. This boost lasted until in 1985 when Long Beach Skateland remodeled and added a large game room to their roller rink. Then in 1986, Milford Amusement Center, which featured games, batting cages and go-karts, opened up, lowering the business even more. Due to this, Grimm was not able to afford to get new games and any profits went towards the repair of the existing ones. This changed, Halloween 1987. Grimm’s introduced a new game, Demon’s Run. This game, an adventure game that allows for four players at a time, has been all the rage with kids since it’s introduction for a few reasons. On top of it’s story, a group of knights attempting to save 7 princesses from an evil demon, The biggest draw is the initials at the apex of the Top Scores. No one has been able to even come close to the score of the Mysterious “AYB” that sits at the top. Further more, no matter how many time the employees of Grimm’s attempt to reset the game, AYB and their score remains at the Apex. This apex has taunted players into spending their quarters in dollars to knock AYB out of their spot. This brings us to a Winter’s night in January, 1988. We begin our story at Grimm’s Den, the music is Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up and a group of friends are playing Demon’s Run. The atmosphere is tense as it looks like someone is within striking distance of the record….
