Volunteer at Texas Frightmare Weekend

Are you interested in volunteering at Texas Frightmare Weekend? We're always looking for dedicated, hardworking individuals to join the TFW Crew!


What is required to volunteer?

Volunteering for Texas Frightmare Weekend can be a highly rewarding and fulfilling experience. However, potential volunteers must have a professional attitude and be willing to work hard. In addition, volunteers must be 18 years or older and have reliable transportation.


Volunteer Perks

Our TFW Crew works behind the scenes with celebrity guests, filmmakers, attendees and other volunteers to ensure that all of our attendees have the best experience possible at Texas Frightmare Weekend. Besides a once in a lifetime experience working behind the scenes at the Southwest's premier horror convention, our volunteers enjoy the following perks:

  • TFW Staff T-Shirt

  • Lunch voucher provided daily

  • Free admission to the event on the days that you work

  • One complimentary ticket to the event for a friend or relative


Convention Hours

Texas Frightmare Weekend Convention Times are listed below. Our volunteers generally work before and after the convention floor is open to assist with tasks to open and shut down the con each day. These hours will vary by volunteer area.


Thursday, May 21st (WILL CALL ONLY): 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Friday, May 22nd (WILL CALL ONLY): 12:00pm - 10:00pm

Friday, May 22nd: 5:00pm - 11:00pm

Saturday, May 23rd: 10:00am - 7:00pm

Sunday, May 24th: 10:00am - 5:00pm

 

Volunteer Application Timeline

Application Opens: Friday, February 15th

Applicant notifications begin: Monday, February 23rd

Application Closes: Once all positions have been filled.


TFW Crew Terms and Conditions and Release

I understand that, if I am accepted as a volunteer for Texas Frightmare Weekend LLC, I will follow, to the best of my abilities, the guidelines set forth by the volunteer coordinator(s). I will follow my training and ask questions when I am uncertain of what to do.  I understand that should I be injured, become ill, or otherwise require medical treatment in the course of acting as a volunteer for Texas Frightmare Weekend LLC that I waive any claim against Texas Frightmare Weekend LLC, Texas Frightmare Weekend LLC staff, and Irving Convention Center or any of its partner companies that would be attributed to such circumstances. Â
