Are you ready to join the team of volunteers that brings METROCON to Tampa Bay every summer?
Volunteers do on average 10-15 hours of work spread throughout the 3-day weekend, and in return are given a free badge. You must attend orientations and any online meetings before the convention as well (many of which would be done through Zoom or Discord, or a similar platform). After submitting, our Volunteer Coordinator, Erin Fish, will be in contact regarding our decision.
Volunteer positions include checking badges at Checkpoints, Registration line directing, load-in and load-out, and much more, based on the needs of the staff. Be ready to be flexible!
Reminder: Volunteers must be 18 years or older by the time of the convention.
Volunteer applications are reviewed in the order they are received. Under no circumstances does METROCON guarantee any position as a volunteer until you have been notified of acceptance. METROCON volunteer status may be revoked at any time by METROCON based on behavior, conduct, attitude or otherwise, subject to the discretion of the METROCON staff. Volunteers must be 18 years or older by the time of the convention.
