Thank you for your interest in joining our Staff! We have lots of opportunities for you to volunteer! We'll need to know where your interest is, and what your shirt size is. If you're not sure where you want to work, or, want to work somewhere different than your department last year, OR, want to start / discuss a new position, select the "I don't know" option and follow up your submission with an email to [email protected] with the details.
Please note that some staff positions are more "shift based" while others are more "free roam". Some will require 18 hours over the course of the weekend, while others do most of their work pre-con, in the year leading up to the event itself. There is no hard and fast requirement or limit to how much of your time you can volunteer but hopefully this helps set expectations. Please note that we currently have some basic breakfast and lunch items available, intended for those who are working during these times so that they can grab a quick bite. This is not intended to replace your need to procure food for yourself to sufficiently take care of yourself for the weekend, but is there to help with convenience and timing concerns for those who are busy. The breakfast is simple items like muffins, bagels, fruits and such, while the lunch is typically a bag of chips, cookies, a fruit, and a sandwich or a wrap. We have limited supplies of each variety and try to do our best to satisfy all dietary needs but please note the intent of this offering, is not to replace the aforementioned need for you to feed yourself regularly outside of these humble offerings.
That said, we do have a staff dinner on Sunday after the truck is fully packed (typically by 7pm!) and that is a buffet style offering with a few varieties. If you have any dietary concerns or allergies that you are worried about, please reach out to [email protected] and let us know and we may be able to accommodate.
Convention provided Staff rooms are also limited and pre-decided, but we do give Staff early access to the room block so that they can reserve their room early. Rooms can sell out 2 or 3 months before the convention.
