This application has multiple sections, please be sure to complete each one. You will also want to read the full Volunteer Terms, Conditions, and Agreement included on these application webpages. After you add your signature and click ACCEPT AND SUBMIT APPLICATION at the end of the last section, you will receive an email confirmation from [email protected] when your application has been received and saved. Submitting your application also indicates you have read and agree to the included terms and conditions.
The email confirming your application has been received and saved will also include a link to submit the days and shifts you are available to volunteer. You must complete this form as part of your overall application. The volunteer management team will ASSIGN AND SCHEDULE FULL DAY VOLUNTEERS (10-13 hour days) first and half day volunteers (5-7 hour days) will be assigned second. Volunteer schedules will match the availability you enter on this form and will be finalized by September 10, 2026.

VOLUNTEER TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND AGREEMENT
2026 FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention Volunteer Terms, Condition, and Agreement
By submitting an application to volunteer for 2026 FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention (the Event) I understand, acknowledge, and agree to the following:
1. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance as a volunteer.
2. Dan Farr Productions, LLC (DFP) is the official volunteer organization for the Event.
3. I will read and will abide by this Volunteer Terms, Conditions, and Agreement (Agreement) and any other volunteer policies or procedures provided to me by DFP.
4. I am or will be 18 years of age or older on or before September 23, 2026.
5. I am able to stand/walk 6 hours or more per day.
6. I am able to lift/move 20 pounds or more without injuring myself.
7. If I am accepted as a volunteer for the Event, I will provide services for the event strictly and exclusively on a volunteer basis, and I will not be paid nor entitled to monetary compensation for my volunteer services.

Scope of Volunteer Services
If I am accepted as a volunteer for the Event, I understand, acknowledge, and agree that my volunteer services will be limited to the duties corresponding to the volunteer title I am assigned, as identified below, and that in the event an event attendee or other volunteer asks me to perform services outside of the scope of those listed under my assigned volunteer title, I will promptly notify a DFP employee.
Volunteer Duties: Review annual training and orientation information; provide general direction and assistance to all attendees, provided, however, that in the event of a safety or security issue, I will promptly locate, notify, and direct the issue to a DFP employee; perform line management for show attractions, including without limitation: event entry, programming rooms, photo ops, autographs, and vendor booths; set up and take down show items (which items shall be directed by DFP employees), including without limitation: show signage, general supplies, check-in, and break areas for volunteers; and promptly notify DFP employees of any material issues, problems, issues relating to ticketing or refunds, and safety concerns, including without limitation: liquid spills, lost children, injuries, and security concerns.
Volunteer Captain Duties: Review annual training and orientation information; orient volunteers to their assigned area of the Event; coordinate breaks for volunteers; assist with volunteer check-in and check-out process; provide general direction and assistance to all attendees, provided, however, that in the event of a safety or security issue, I will promptly locate, notify, and direct the issue to a DFP employee; answer general attendee questions and provide general directions to different areas of the Event; perform line management for show attractions, including without limitation: event entry, programming rooms, photo ops, autographs, and vendor booths; set up and take down show items (which items shall be directed by DFP employees), including without limitation: show signage, general supplies, check-in, and break areas for volunteers; promptly notify DFP employees of any material concerns regarding volunteers; and promptly notify DFP employees of any material issues, problems, issues relating to ticketing or refunds, and safety concerns, including without limitation: liquid spills, lost children, injuries, and security concerns.
Volunteer Team Manager Duties: Review annual training and orientation information; assist with volunteer check-in and check-out process; answer general attendee questions and provide general directions to different areas of the Event; perform line management for show attractions, including without limitation: event entry, programming rooms, photo ops, autographs, and vendor booths; set up and take down show items (which items shall be directed by DFP employees), including without limitation: show signage, general supplies, check-in, and break areas for volunteers; facilitate Just-In-Time training for areas of the Event under your supervision; ensure volunteer staffing needs are balanced each day of the show with available volunteers; establish and contribute to a positive volunteer culture; provide volunteers with performance feedback; work with volunteer captains to coordinate volunteer breaks; promptly notify DFP employees of any material concerns regarding volunteers; and promptly notify DFP employees of any material issues, problems, issues relating to ticketing or refunds, and safety concerns, including without limitation: liquid spills, lost children, injuries, and security concerns.
Volunteers are expected to abide by all of the policies set forth in the volunteer training materials. Failure to comply with the policies/procedures can be grounds for dismissal from your volunteer position. Make yourself familiar with the volunteer policies and procedures.
DFP is committed to keeping any and all personal information collected of all volunteers confidential, secure, and private. THEREFORE, this privacy policy (Policy) shall apply to DFP, and thus it shall govern any and all personal data collection and usage thereof. Through the use of, you are herein consenting to the following data procedures expressed within this Agreement.
Collection of Information: Voluntarily provided information which may include your name, address, email address, home address, photos, etc., shall be collected with your application, at orientation and training, and/or at the start of any DFP event during volunteer check-in. By signing this Agreement, you hereby consent to the collection of this information.
Use of Information Collected: DFP will only collect and make use of personal information to assist in the operation of the event and to deter and prevent fraudulent volunteer registrations. DFP reserves the right to email newsletters and updates regarding DFP events and volunteer programs that may contain third party promotion(s). DFP does not now, nor will it in the future, sell, rent or lease any of our volunteer lists and/or names to any third parties. DFP may disclose your personal information, without prior notice to you, only if required to do so in accordance with applicable laws and/or in good faith belief that such action is deemed necessary or is required in an effort to: (1) Remain in conformance (2) Maintain, safeguard and/or preserve all the rights and/or property of DFP; (3) Perform under demanding conditions in an effort to safeguard the personal safety of users of and/or the general public.
Use of Likeness: I hereby consent to any and all uses and displays, by the DFP and its agents, of my name, voice, likeness, image, appearance and biographical information in, on or in connection with any pictures, photographs, audio and video recordings, digital images, websites, television programs and advertising, other advertising, sales and marketing brochures, books, magazines, other publications, CDs, DVDs, tapes and all other printed and electronic forms and media throughout the world, at any time for all legitimate business purposes of DFP (Permitted Uses). I hereby forever release DFP and its directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all claims, actions, damages, losses, costs, expenses, liability of any kind, and rights to compensation or royalties or compensation arising under any legal or equitable theory whatsoever at any time in connection with any Permitted Use.
Websites: Our Facebook volunteer page does not and will not contain personal information; however, DFP does not claim nor accept responsibility for any privacy policies, practices and/or procedures of Facebook. Our Discord channel does not and will not contain personal information; however, DFP does not claim nor accept responsibility for any privacy policies, practices, and/or procedures of Discord.
By submitting a volunteer application, I acknowledge that I am exercising my own free choice to participate voluntarily and promise to take due care during such participation, hereby release and discharge, indemnify and hold harmless FanX® Salt Lake Comic Convention, DFP, and each of its members, officers, agents, employees, and any other persons or entities acting on its behalf (collectively, Released Parties) against any and all claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, whether presently known or unknown, either in law or in equity, relating to injury, disability, death or other harm, to person or property or both, which may occur from known or unknown causes arising from my participation in FanX® Salt Lake Comic Convention and its events, including the Event. I understand, accept, and assume all such hazards and risks, and waive all claims against the Released Parties. I understand that I am solely responsible for any costs arising out of any bodily injury or property damage sustained through my participation in normal or unusual acts associated with the Released Parties. DFP may at any time revise this Agreement.
By agreeing to the terms aforementioned, you are hereby accepting the terms of this Agreement. You also affirm all information you have provided to DFP is accurate and current.
