Media passes for Hauntmare Expo 2026 are very limited this year. In previous years, we issued a large number of media passes with the expectation that coverage and online content would follow. Unfortunately, in many cases, little to no content was produced or shared in return.
Because of this, we are significantly tightening our media pass approvals for 2026. Media passes now come with clear and reasonable content obligations. Failure to meet the agreed-upon obligations may result in denial of future media pass requests.
Our goal this year is to ensure Hauntmare Expo receives meaningful exposure. Approved socialmedia influencers are expected to provide multiple posts during and after the event, with content tagged to Hauntmare Expo. Primary platforms include Instagram and Facebook, with X, YouTube, and TikTok as secondary platforms. We ask that the following hashtags be used on applicable posts: #HauntmareExpo and #HauntmareExpo2026.
These requirements are not meant to be punitive or unkind. As an independently grown event, we rely heavily on media coverage to spread awareness and continue building the Expo. In exchange for complimentary admission, we ask that influencers help us share the experience with their audience.
Please note: these requirements apply to social media influencers only. News stations and established professional media outlets are exempt.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to working together and seeing Hauntmare Expo reach an even wider audience in 2026.
