Unplugged '24 PAX Together Demo Days Application

The PAX Together program is proud to announce our first PAX Together Demo Days! The program will host new and in development game demos on the Show Floor, and safe space game sessions in the PAX Together Intersection Games Library (PTIGL). The goal of the program is to celebrate and highlight games by BIPOC game creators. We especially invite Indigenous creators from around the world to apply. This application covers not only your application to participate in Demos Days, but to also run games in the Intersection as a Storyteller.

If you are not a BIPOC dev and would like to run your game in The Intersection, we invite you to apply to host a safe space table via the PAX Together Intersection Storyteller Application found here: https://conventions.leapevent.tech/f/5bc726d1-abb3-4175-bb49-e3e2cb40c880.

Thanks for your interest in submitting your NEW game to the PAX Together Demo Days. PAX Unplugged will take place Friday, December 6 - Sunday, December 8 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Please NOTE: Upon submitting your game submission, you will not receive a confirmation email. Games/Storyteller information sessions will be scheduled via email at a later date. Attendance at an info session, as well as confirmed Safety Tools training completion are required to run games within the PTIGL.

If you have any questions about the Storyteller application process, please email [email protected].

On-Site Contact Preference: Discord & Phone

Please ensure you have notifications on. We will contact you during PAX as necessary (i.e. session cancelled, the GM is not there at the scheduled time). You will be added to a Discord channel to facilitate these communications.
Game Information
If you would like to submit more than one game to the Demo Days program, please complete and submit a form for each game.
PLEASE NOTE: Power will not be available at any of our tables, plan for an Unplugged experience. Additionally, your game needs to be run at the table - we are not able to support LARP at this time. Our standard table size is 8 players including the Storyteller. If you would like to run a game for additional players, or your game would require some movement (e.g., Blood on the Clock Tower) please indicate that below so we can discuss how to facilitate that.
Safety Techniques & Conduct

PTI Games Library is committed to player safety and Storyteller safety. We will have a meeting with each Storyteller before the schedule goes live during which you may address any additional concerns or share any context you feel comfortable with at that time as well.

Accessibility

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee that PAX will be able to accommodate all needs, but we will submit all requests of those individuals selected to be PTI Storytellers.
Special Accommodations and Requests

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee that PAX will be able to accommodate all special accommodations and request, but we will submit all requests of those individuals selected to be PTI Storytellers.
Safety Tools
The PTI Games Library has developed a safety tool system specifically for use within our space. While our tools will look a little different you can review TTRPG Safety Tool Guide and how they are utilized here: https://i.4pcdn.org/tg/1583202183294.pdf.

Storytellers will be required to go through a training and quiz on the use of our safety tools before the event. The following Safety Tools will be required within the PTI Games Library for all Storyteller games:
1. Consent Checklist,
2. Modified X-card System,
3. Storyteller Safety Coasters,
4. Aftercare Guidelines.

Additional information will be provided during the Information session with a PTI Games Library Mage.
Game Session Scheduling

All PTI Games Library TTRPG games are required to use the TTRPG Consent Checklist and Safety Techniques. To accommodate this, there is an additional 15 minutes built into each game timeslot to allow participants to complete the checklist, and for the storyteller to review these responses. Example: a 2 hour game scheduled at 10:15am, using the first 15 minutes for the Consent Checklist, will begin running at 10:30am and conclude at 12:30pm.

Storytellers are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
