PAX East '26 Intersection Storyteller Application

Thank you so much for your interest! Intersection Storytellers are attendees who run tabletop games in the Intersection space. The Intersection, and The Intersection Games Library, is a BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ , women, disability, and neurodiverse inclusive supportive safe space. Storytellers are not expected to lead games outside of their comfort zone but will be asked to keep the safety of the space in mind.

In The Intersection, we're committed to providing a safe space for people of underrepresented and stigmatized communities, and those questioning, to gather and play games or characters that they might be hesitant to play on the Show Floor. We reserve the right to remove any facilitator, player, and/or game which fails to uphold that standard.

Once you have submitted this application, the Intersection Games Library staff will reach out to schedule an information session with you to review your submissions and schedule requests.

The deadline for this application is Monday, January 5 at 5:00pm ET. You will be notified of the status of your application by early February.

Game Information

If you would like to apply to be a Storyteller of more than one game, please complete and submit a form for each game.

PLEASE NOTE: Power will not be available at any of our tables, plan for an Unplugged experience. Additionally, your game needs to be run at the table - we are not able to support LARP at this time. Our standard table size is 8 players including the Storyteller. If you would like to run a game for additional players, or your game would require some movement (e.g., Blood on the Clock Tower) please indicate that below so we can discuss how to facilitate that.

Why do you want to bring this game to The Intersection Games Library instead of another area of PAX? How is your game enhanced by, or enhance, being a part of The Intersection? Required

Safety Techniques & Conduct

The Intersection Games Library is committed to Player safety and Storyteller safety. We will have a meeting with each Storyteller before the schedule goes live during which you may address any additional concerns or share any context you feel comfortable with at that time as well.

Safety Tools

Storytellers will be required to go through a training and quiz on the use of our safety tools before the event. The following Safety Tools will be required within the PTI Games Library for all Storyteller games:
1. Consent Checklist,
2. Modified X-card System,
3. Storyteller Safety Coasters,
4. Aftercare Guidelines.

Accessibility

PLEASE NOTE: PAX cannot guarantee to accommodate all needs and requests, but we will submit all requests of those individuals selected to be Intersection Storytellers. Additionally, Storytellers whose games want or need more resources to be accessible may be considered for the Access Forward Gaming Lounge to better meet accessibility needs.

Will you, as the Storyteller, require accommodations, including but not limited to braille dice, quieter space, or other Accessibility features? Required

Game Session Scheduling

All Intersection Games Library TTRPG games are required to use the TTRPG Consent Checklist and Safety Techniques. To accommodate this, there is an additional 15 minutes built into each game timeslot to allow participants to complete the checklist, and for the storyteller to review these responses. Example: a 2 hour game scheduled at 10:15am, using the first 15 minutes for the Consent Checklist, will begin running at 10:30am and conclude at 12:30pm.

Storytellers are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time.

Access Forward Gaming Lounge

The Access Forward Gaming Lounge is an inclusive space for accessible adaptations of your favorite tabletop games. Access Forward is disabled-led, with both disabled and nondisabled Storytellers and Players side-by-side. We welcome everyone! This space will offer accommodation and accessibility support for a wide variety of bodies and minds, including: d/Deaf or Hard of Hearing; blind or low vision; mobility disabilities; and neurodivergent (including those with intellectual, developmental, cognitive, social-communication, and mental health disabilities).

We'll work with you to see how your game can be made Accessible - it could be as simple as providing braille dice for attendees.

I understand that this application does not guarantee my selection at an Intersection Games Library Storyteller, and only registers my request to be a Storyteller at PAX.
